Why CalRobo?
As COVID-19 began to interfere with our daily lives, our team started CalRobo to teach online, after-school courses to children. Our courses focus on teaching basic programming and hardware skills using DJI robotics. These lessons improve our students’ problem-solving skills, communication skills, and teamwork. Our lessons also prepare our students for the future; where robotics and software become more popular. With our classes, your children will have a head start by working with robots starting at a young age.
Our Mission
At CalRobo, we hope to provide our students with excellent education that is applicable to their everyday lives. With robotics being under-taught in the United States, we believe that it is essential to give students an opportunity to learn about this subject while hoping that it may spark an interest in a future career in STEM.
What is our relation to DJI?
DJI is the worldwide leader in drone and robotics technology and they provide us with course materials to use in our courses. The materials give children in the United States the opportunity to learn about robotics. Currently, CalRobo is the only United States based program that teaches using DJI materials. Although we have this opportunity to use DJI products, we are in no way affiliated with them.
Partnerships
CalRobo is currently partnered with Intelligent Racing, a program focused on using artificial intelligence and machine learning to educate students from the basics of artificial intelligence all the way up to university level classes. Intelligent Racing classes make use of fully autonomous race cars for an advanced and exciting gaming experience that will make classes interesting for students. To learn more, click the link below.
